This is a complete skills session workout that should take around 30-45 minutes to complete. Since it isn’t very long you are expected and encourage to go 110% in every drill. This workout shouldn’t be taxing as long as your in some good shape. if you are not in shape this will more than do it for you.

This is a session where I would  charge 3x in person and we will be doing the very same drills and moves in this session. Also you have the freedom to do it when ever you want, but you must get it done. If you play for a team already, I recommend you perform this session about 3-5 times in the week. For those that have a little more time to work on their own I HIGHLY SUGGEST  that you do this at least 5 times in the coming week. In any case the more you work the better the results so I just gave you minimum dose required to see results.

In this session we will go over the main skills such as dribbling, finishing, mid range shots as well as three point shots. All around the emphasis of mastering the float dribble. The float dribble is our main skill for this week and we touch on all the necessities that we will encounter on the court.

The workout will be separated into 3 BLOCKS.

Block 1 : will the Ball Handling/Footwork Stage. In this block we will start by learning what the float dribble is and how it can be effective. Then we will go a through a series of ball handling drills with the float dribble as our primary move. Meaning we will be going through various moves through different tempos all while focusing on mastering that float dribble.  There will be stationary dribbling  as well as on the move to make it more game specific.

Block 2 :  will be focused on performing the moves acquired in Block 1 but now into 3 different finishes at the basket and using the right and left hand. Within those specific drills will be different moves revolving around the ” FLOAT “. In this Block, there the amount of makes we are going for is low because in this block is where you need to attack the basket STRONG. In this block you must focus on driving hard and fast with intention and when every attempt I want you to aim as if you are going to dunk every time, except when performing the floaters. Not only will it help your finishing at the rim ( with both hands), it will also help improve your athletism as an overall athlete.

Block 3 : will be focused on  shooting from mid range as well as three pointers. All while still maintaining the focus on that float dribble. All these shots will be off the dribble so they can be difficult. I urge you to not get frustrated and keep working. There will be a certain amount of made shots per drill and will vary from the top of the key to the wing positions and going in both directions, meaning having the ball start in your left and right hand.

Overall this skill session will target :

I hope to see you in there and I’m real excited to work with you all. My goal is to give all the knowledge I’ve acquired through my career and bring it to you in a digestible form and help you reach any goals you want. As long as you put in the work you results will show.
