Throughout the Attaining the American Dream Course Series, students will learn about the origins of American history, citizenship, popular culture, and its sequential global influences.  This is the first course within a much larger series that will provide a cultural analysis of The United States of America.

Throughout the Attaining the American Dream Course Series, students will learn about the origins of American history, citizenship, popular culture, and its sequential global influences.  This is the first course within a much larger series that will provide a cultural analysis of The United States of America.

This introductory course in the Attaining the American Dream Course Series is focused on obtaining a US citizenship and the necessary steps that it takes to become a US citizen. While I realize that US citizenship is not everyone’s dream, it will be a foundational aspect of the additional courses within the series.

Students will learn about the brief history of the United States, citizenship and naturalization, and the US embassies and consulates. The privileges and responsibilities that accompany a US citizenship will also be outlined throughout this course.

There are four different types of US citizenship which will be outlined within the course. The naturalization process, more specifically the ten steps to naturalization, will be discussed within the course. The US governmental resources and civics test will be disseminated, as well as the global resources available to US citizens within the embassies and consulates will conclude the course discussion.
